Please read Hebrews 9.
Meditate on verse 28.
So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many,
will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin,
to those who eagerly await Him.
Well, the news about this covenant in Jesus Christ gets
better and better. Not only is God
merciful to your iniquities remembering them no more, when He returns to take
you out of this world, He will make no reference to your sin. What a relief is that? If you are eagerly awaiting the return of
Christ, He is not going to mention anything you have done wrong when He comes
back. Jesus Christ became your sin, so
you could become His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). His blood so completely covers yours sins
that Jesus refuses to remember your very sins that killed Him. If that is not enough, His blood even
cleanses your conscience from dead works so you can serve Him.
Jesus does not remember your sins, so why are you allowing
the guilt and shame of your past paralyze you and keep you from serving the
Living God. Let God cleanse your
conscience of all the dead junk from your past, so you can serve your Savior
for the rest of eternity. Do not neglect
your so great a salvation (Hebrews 2:3)!
Pray Hebrews 9:14 and 28 over yourself and those for whom
you are standing guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Christ, by Your
blood,
through Your eternal
Spirit,
cleanse __________
and my conscience
from dead works to
serve You, our living God.
Thank You for bearing
our sins.
Thank You that when
You appear a second time for salvation,
You will not
reference our sin,
if we eagerly await
You.
God, please cause
____________ to eagerly await You.
In Your name, Jesus~”
