Please read 2 Timothy 2.
Meditate on verse 1.
You therefore, my son,
be strong in the grace that is
in Christ Jesus.
Timothy needed to be reminded of many things, and Paul wanted
him to consider those things. Timothy
needed to ponder and think about the truth of God. He needed to remember Jesus Christ and remind
others of Godly things (2 Timothy 2:7, 8, 14).
What are you pondering today? What occupies your thoughts? Is it the Word of Truth, the Bible, or is it
the worries and cares of life? Pondering
your worries will not change your circumstances or the circumstances of
others. Considering, sharing, and
praying the Word of God will change life situations. There are many treasure verses to pray over
your loved ones from 2 Timothy 2. Find
the ones you need to pray and occupy yourself with those verses today.
Pray 2 Timothy 2:15-16 and 22-25 over yourself and those for
whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Lord, help _______
and me to be diligent to present ourselves
approved unto You as
workmen who do not need to be ashamed.
Help us accurately
handle the Word of Truth.
Let us avoid worldly
and empty chatter,
for it will lead to
further ungodliness.
Let us flee youthful
lusts and pursue
righteousness, faith, love, and peace
with those who call
on You from a pure heart.
Help us refuse
foolish and ignorant speculations,
knowing that they
produce quarrels.
Make us Your bond-servants who are not
quarrelsome,
but kind to all, able
to teach, patient when wronged,
gently correcting
those who are in opposition.
For the sake of Your
name, Jesus~”
