Please read 2 Thessalonians 2.
Meditate on verse 13.
God has chosen you
from the beginning for salvation.
The believers in Thessalonica needed reassurance. There were false rumors that the day of the
Lord (events that will occur at the end of time) had come. Paul reassured them of must occur prior to
that day, about their assurance of salvation, and that God chose them and loved
them.
These are reassuring words for you, too. If you are in Christ, you are much loved by
the Lord; God has chosen you for salvation, and you will gain the glory of your
Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14). Stand firm in these truths and do not allow
the deception of wickedness into your thoughts (2 Thessalonians 2:10, 15).
Pray 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 over yourself and those for
whom you are standing guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Lord Jesus Christ
and God our Father,
You have loved _________
and me
and given us eternal
comfort
and good hope by
grace.
Comfort and
strengthen our hearts
in every good work
and word.
In Your name, Jesus~”
