Hebrews 6 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Hebrews 6.
Meditate on verses 19-20a.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul,
a hope both sure and steadfast
and one which enters within the veil,
where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us …

When rain falls, it waters an entire piece of land.  The land uses the water and either produces useful vegetation or worthless thorns and thistles.  God penned, through the writer of Hebrews, this comparison to explain the work of the Holy Spirit.  Every person on Earth partakes of the blessings of the Holy Spirit and tastes the good Word of God.  Like rain-watered ground, each individual chooses what to do with those blessings.  Every person must choose to either receive the blessings of God resulting in salvation or to fall away from the Truth.  Refusing the Holy Spirit results in no repentance.  If a person refuses Christ’s work on the cross, then, like thorns and thistles, their life is worthless, cursed, and will end up being burned.

BUT, if your life gives evidence of salvation, then you have full assurance of hope until the end.  The hope you have in Christ is the anchor of your soul; it is a sure and steadfast hope because Jesus runs before you to God the Father announcing your arrival into the presence of Almighty God forever.  This is truth from the Word of God, and it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18).  Thank You, LORD!

Pray Hebrews 6:11-12 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, help _______ and me show diligence in our salvation
so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end.
Do not let us be sluggish,
but help us be imitators of those
who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
In Your name, Jesus~”
