Meditate
on verse 3.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact
representation
of His nature, and
upholds all things by the word of His power.
When He had made purification of sins,
He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
The complexity of the sacrificial system illustrates how
much effort your holy God puts into helping you be in fellowship with Him. It
is appropriate to look at Hebrews since it provides a New Testament
completion to Exodus and Leviticus.
Hebrews carefully documents how Jesus fulfills God’s requirements found in
Exodus and Leviticus. Jesus purifies you with His blood. He is
seated next to the Majesty on high; therefore, He is God’s accepted sacrifice
which covers your sins. The Holy Spirit leads you to God when you ask for and
receive Jesus, the necessary sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. Have you
accepted Jesus as that sacrifice?
Pray
Hebrews 1:3 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful,
prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, You uphold all things by the word of Your power.
Make purification of sins for _________ and me.
In Your name, Jesus~”
