Proverbs 8 - Praying God's Word

Please read Proverbs 8
Meditate on verses 5.

O naive ones, understand prudence.
And, O fools, understand wisdom.

The LORD possessed wisdom from the beginning, before He created the earth. As revealed in the New Testament, Jesus is the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24) and the Creator (John 1, Colossians 1, Hebrews 1). Proverbs 8:22-31 is a picture of Christ as wisdom with God at creation. Take note of these characteristics of Christ and thank Him for loving you and revealing Himself to you.
Notice that Jesus delights in the sons of men (Proverbs 8:31). Jesus delights in you! Meditate on that amazing truth today.
Pray Proverbs 8:32-36 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7). These verses contain prayers for both the saved and the unsaved.

“LORD, let ______ and me listen to You.
Bless us as we keep Your ways.
May we heed instruction and be wise.
Do not let us neglect instruction.
Bless us as we listen to You.
Let us watch daily at Your gates,
waiting at Your doorposts for Your wisdom.
And, LORD, please let ______ find You,
so they can find life and obtain Your favor.
Keep them from sinning against You,
so they will not injure themselves.
May they stop hating You and loving death.
For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
