Luke 5 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Luke 5.
Meditate on verse 5.

Simon answered and said,
“Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing,
but I will do as You say and let down the nets.”

Have you ever worked hard and accomplished nothing? Peter was frustrated that his hard work had not paid off. But Peter was willing to obey his Master Jesus and do whatever He told him to do. Peter’s obedience to Jesus paid off; the nets were so full of fish they began to break. James and John were with Peter, and these three men were so seized with amazement by Jesus Christ they left everything and followed Him.
This is the appropriate response to the Lord when He intersects your life:
            *Be seized with amazement
            *Do as He says
*Leave everything (from your old life)
            *Follow Him

Pray Luke 5:1, 5, 9, and 11 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 61:6-7).

“LORD, may ______ and I listen to Your Word.
Let us be seized with amazement
by what You are doing in our lives.
LORD, may we do as You say,
 leave everything, and follow You.
In Your name, Jesus.”
