Please read 1 Corinthians 16.
Meditate on verse 14.
Let all that you do be done in love.
Paul concluded his letter to the church in Corinth by
addressing their concern about collecting money to meet the needs of others and
then giving them five exhortations which would help them to grow up more in
Christ (1 Corinthians 16:13-14). They
are:
1. Be on the alert.
2. Stand firm in the faith.
3. Act like men.
4. Be strong.
5. Let all that you do be done in love.
These exhortations will help you in your spiritual growth as
well. Memorize verse 14 today; say it
over and over a hundred times. You may
want to change the “you” to “I.” “Let
all that I do be done in love.” It will
be fun to see your attitudes and actions change for the better. You might even become a Stephanas,
Fortunatus, or Achaicus whom Paul rejoiced over because they had refreshed his
spirit (1 Corinthians 16:17-18). Refresh
the spirit of others today by letting everything you do be done in the love of
Christ.
Pray 1 Corinthians 16:14, 18 over yourself and those for
whom you are standing guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, let all that
we do be done in love.
May we refresh the
spirit of others.
In Your Name, Jesus~”
