Psalm 92 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 92.

Meditate on verses 1-2.

It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to
 sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
 to declare Your lovingkindness in the
morning and Your faithfulness by night.

Why is it good to give God thanks?
·      The works of His hands are great, and they make you glad (v. 4-5).
·      His thoughts are very deep (v. 5).
·      He is on high forever (v. 8).
·      His enemies will perish, and all who do iniquity will be scattered (v. 9).
·      He makes you righteous, so you flourish like the palm tree (v. 12).
·      He plants you in His house where you flourish in His courts (v. 13).
·      He lets you yield fruit, even in old age (v. 14).

The LORD does all of the above, so you can declare that He is upright, that He is your rock, and that there is no unrighteousness in Him (v. 15).
So much to be thankful for! Spend this day thanking Him. And pray Psalm 92:1-2 and 12-15 as a faithful prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, it is good to give You thanks and
 sing
praises to Your name, O Most High.

I will declare Your lovingkindness in the
 morning
and Your faithfulness by night.

Make ___________ and me righteous.

Let us flourish like the palm tree
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Plant us in Your house, LORD,
and let us flourish in Your courts.
 Let us still yield fruit in old age;
 let us be full of sap
and very green,
to declare that You are upright;

You are our Rock, and there is
 no unrighteousness in You.
Because You are the LORD Jesus~”
