Luke 4 - Praying God's Word

Please read Luke 4.

Meditate on verse 1.

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan
 and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness.

Luke recorded interesting contrasts in this chapter. Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, was being led in the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:14). The people in Nazareth were full of rage and driving Jesus out of their city (Luke 4:28-29). The people in Capernaum were amazed by Christ’s teaching and did not want Him to go away from them (Luke 4:32,42).
What are you full of? How are you responding to Jesus Christ?
Pray Luke 4:1, 14, and 42 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 61:6-7).
“LORD, please let _________ and me be full of Your Holy Spirit;

let us be led by Your Spirit
in the power of Your Spirit.

May we be like those from Capernaum, never wanting You to leave us.

In Your name, Jesus~”
