Psalm 99 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 99.

Meditate on verse 9.

Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy hill, for holy is the LORD our God.
God expects you to exalt and worship Him because He is holy, great, and awesome (v. 3). There is no one and nothing in the entire universe that compares with Him.
You live in a world where people are easily awe-struck. The presence of actors, athletes, authors, authorities, etc. can create excitement and uproar. But before swooning over a human, keep in mind:
The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble.

He is enthroned above the cherubim; let the earth shake!
 —Psalm 99:1

The only One worthy of people trembling and shaking is the LORD.  As you ponder Him, realize only He deserves your awe.
Pray Psalm 99:1-5 and 9 in awesome wonder to your LORD.
“LORD, You reign; let the peoples tremble!

You are enthroned above the cherubim; let the earth shake!
LORD, You are great in Zion, and You
are exalted above all the peoples.

Let us praise Your great and awesome name; You are holy.
 Your strength, O King, loves justice; You have established equity;
You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
Please execute justice and righteousness in our land.

I exalt You, LORD our God, and worship at Your footstool.
You are holy! I exalt You, LORD our God,
and worship at Your holy hill,

For You are holy, LORD our God, Jesus~”
