Psalm 97 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 97.

Meditate on verses 9-10a.

For You are the LORD Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far above all gods. Hate evil, you who love the LORD...

Some of the truths about the LORD from Psalm 97 are:
·      He reigns (v. 1).
·      Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne (v. 2).
·      Fire goes before Him and burns up His adversaries (v. 3).
·      He is LORD of the whole earth (v. 5).
·      The heavens declare His righteousness, and all people have seen His glory (v. 6).
·      He is Most High over all the earth and exalted far above all supernatural powers (v. 9).
·      He preserves the souls of His Godly ones and delivers them from the wicked (v. 10).

Based on these truths about the LORD:
·      Hate evil (v. 10)

·      Be glad in Him (v. 12)

·      Give thanks to His holy name (v. 12)

Pray Psalm 97:9-12 to the LORD as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, You are Most High over all the earth.
You are exalted (praised) far above all gods.
__________ and I love You, LORD, and we hate evil.
We are Your Godly ones; preserve our souls and
deliver us from the hand of the wicked.

Keep us righteous and upright in heart; sow light and gladness for us.
We are Your righteous ones; we will be glad in You, LORD.

We give thanks to Your holy name, Jesus~”
