Please read
Psalm 91. It is often called “The Warrior’s Psalm.” Many modern day warriors
cling to it, even carrying a copy in their uniform pockets as they go into
battle.

Meditate on
verses 1 and 5a.
He who
dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will
abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
You will
not be afraid of the terror by night ...
The psalmist
wrote at least 3,000 years ago, yet his words speak about things happening
today: terror, destruction, evil ... And just like the psalmist’s only sure shelter
from wickedness was Almighty God, the Most High is your shield and bulwark,
protecting you from plague and pestilence. As you totally depend on the LORD,
hear Him talking to you:
“Because
he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will
set him securely on high because he has known My name.
He will
call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With a
long life I will satisfy him and let him see My salvation.”
—Psalm
91:14-16
If you love
and know the LORD, claim His promises and pray Psalm 91:2- 4 over yourself and
those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah
62:6-7).
“LORD,
You are my refuge and my fortress,
My God in whom I trust!
Deliver _________
and me from the snare of the trapper
and from the deadly pestilence.
Cover us
with Your pinions,
and
under Your wings let us seek refuge.
Your
faithfulness is our shield and bulwark.
Because
of Your name, Jesus~”
