Psalm 85 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 85.

Meditate on verse 8.

I will hear what God the LORD will say; for He will speak peace to His people,

 to His Godly ones; but let them not turn back to folly.

What a wonderful psalm for faithful, prayerful watchmen! It is filled with treasure verses to pray over those you love.

·      LORD, forgive the iniquity of ________ and cover all their sin (v. 2).

·      LORD, please withdraw Your fury from ________ and turn away 
from Your burning anger (v. 3).

·      Restore _________, O God of our salvation, and cause Your indignation toward them to cease (v. 4).

·      LORD, do not be angry forever with _______ (v. 5).

·      Revive ______ again, LORD (v. 6).

·      Show _______ Your lovingkindness, O LORD, and grant them Your salvation (v. 7).

·      Speak peace to ________. Make them Your Godly ones (v. 8).

·      LORD, do not let ________ turn back to folly (stupidity) (v. 8). 


Armed with God’s Word, pray at least one of the above over and over someone you are guarding as their faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
