Please read Galatians 1.
Meditate on verses 15-16a.
But when God, who had set me apart
even from my mother’s womb
and called me through His grace
was pleased to reveal His Son in me
so that I might preach Him…
As Paul
preached salvation by grace, Judaizers (Jews who embraced Christianity yet
taught that some of the Law, including circumcision, still must be observed to
really be saved) followed him preaching a gospel contrary to the truth
(Galatians 1:9). Paul wrote this letter to the church in Galatia to counter
false teaching and to proclaim righteous freedom through faith in Christ.
Paul knew
God freed him from sin so he could live the rest of his life for Christ. Paul
was confident of God’s call in his life: to tell others about the grace of God
and the freedom from sin through Jesus Christ.
God set you
apart from your mother’s womb for the same purpose. His plan for you is to be
rescued from sin, to be saved to Christ, and to tell others about the amazing
life God has for them.
Pray
Galatians 1:3-5 over someone you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman
(Isaiah 62:6-7).
“God, my
Father, and my LORD Jesus Christ,
extend Your grace and peace to __________ .
You gave
Yourself for their sins.
According
to Your will and for Your glory,
rescue
them from this present evil age.
For the
sake of Your name, Jesus~”
