Please read Isaiah 45.
Meditate on verse 5.
I am the LORD, and there is no other;
besides Me there is no God.
God talked
to Cyrus in this chapter. The LORD told Cyrus He called him by name. Anything
Cyrus had, God gave to him. The things Cyrus did were because the LORD took
Cyrus by the right hand to do what God desired.
The LORD had
Isaiah pen these words concerning King Cyrus the Great of Persia 175 years
before Cyrus was born. Cyrus conquered Babylon where the Israelites were in
exile for 70 years. He issued the decree for the Israelites to return to Israel
and rebuild the temple (2 Chronicles 36:22-23). Cyrus, the great pagan king of
Persia, who did not know God (Isaiah 45:4), was an instrument in the hand of
The Almighty.
As a
faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7), pray Isaiah 45:21- 24 over those
who need to bow the knee to Almighty God.
“You are the LORD.
There is no God besides You.
You are a righteous God and a Savior;
there is none except You.
Please let __________ turn to You, f
or You are God, and there is no other.
Your Word has gone forth from Your mouth
in righteousness and will not turn back.
Let ___________ bow their knee and swear allegiance to you.
Let them say, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’
In Your name, Jesus~”
