Isaiah 44 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 44.
Meditate on verses 6 and 8.

Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel
and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:
“I am the first and I am the last,
and there is no God besides Me.
Do not tremble and do not be afraid.
Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it?
And you are My witnesses.
Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock?
I know of none.”

Isaiah 44:9-20 talks about the foolishness and irrationality of trusting in idols, of putting your hope in anyone or anything besides Almighty God. A deceived heart turns you aside from trusting in the LORD. You think you can deliver yourself. You do not recognize what you are holding onto is a lie in your right hand (Isaiah 44:20). The only thing that should be in your right hand is the LORD’s hand: “For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you’” (Isaiah 41:13).
Pray the promises of Isaiah 44:3-5 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, please pour out these promises on _______ and me today.
‘I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground.
I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring
and My blessing on your descendants;
And they will spring up among the grass like poplars by streams of water.
This one will say, “’I am the LORD’s;’”
And that one will call on the name of Jacob;
And another will write on his hand, “’Belonging to the LORD,’”
And will name Israel’s name with honor.’
In Your name, Jesus~”
