Deuteronomy 3 - Praying God's Word

Please read Deuteronomy 3.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/deu/3/1/s_156001

Meditate on verse 21.  Moses is speaking.

"I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, 'Your

eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done

to these two kings, so the LORD shall do to all the

kingdoms into which you are about to cross.'”

Deuteronomy 3 records conquering land east of the Jordan River given to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh.  It was the prequel to conquering the rest of the promised land west of the Jordan River.  Moses would not live to see those victories, but he wanted Joshua confident in the LORD they would come.  Moses really desired to be a part of those conquests, but just as God would keep His word about the land, He would keep His word about Moses not entering the land because of disobedience.  God did let Moses climb to the top of Mount Pisgah for a bird’s eye view of the amazing land that would become Israel, and interestingly, Moses actually set foot in the land 1,400 years later with Elijah, Peter, James, and John on a mountain where Jesus was transfigured before his eyes (Mark 9:2-8).

Be confident in the LORD and His plans for you and those you love.  Do not fear the future, knowing God is faithful.

Pray Deuteronomy 3:22, 24, and 28 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD our God, do not let _________ and me fear,

for You are the one fighting for us.

O LORD God, You have begun to show us, Your servants,

Your greatness and Your strong hand, for what god

is there in heaven or on earth who can

do such works and mighty acts as Yours?

Please encourage and strengthen us in Your name, Jesus~”
