Genesis 7 - Praying God's Word

Please read Genesis 7.

Meditate on verse 5.

Noah did according to all that the LORD had commanded him.

The theme of obeying God runs throughout Genesis.  People’s deliberate disobedience brought God’s righteous judgment on the earth.  In the midst of judgment, one man, Noah, and his family were spared because Noah was righteous before God (Genesis 7:1).

Noah did according to all that God commanded him (Genesis 6:22).  His obedience brought blessings to his entire family.

What about your family?  Are the people in your life being blessed as you obediently follow Jesus Christ?  Are they learning from your example how to live and walk daily with the LORD?

Jesus Christ makes you righteous before God.  Obedience to Christ draws others to want a righteous relationship with Him.  Live for your Savior, so sin’s destroying flood does not prevail over you and those you love.  God wants to spare you and your family.  Choose His righteousness.

Pray Genesis 7:1 and 5 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, make _______ me righteous before You for the sake of my family!

Let ________ and me do according to all that You command.

In Your name, Jesus~”
