Genesis 6 - Praying God's Word

Please read Genesis 6.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/gen/6/1/s_6001

Meditate on verse 9b.

Noah walked with God.

Like Enoch in Genesis 5:21-24, Noah walked with God.  God described him as blameless and righteous, finding favor in His eyes (vs. 8-9).

Noah stands in direct contrast to the rest of mankind who grieved God and were described as wicked with continual evil intentions (vs. 5-6).

Think about yourself and those you love.  How would God describe you?

1.     Righteous

2.     Blameless

3.     Walking with God

Or:

1.     Wicked

2.     Evil intentions continually

3.     Grieving God’s heart

Genesis 6:22 gives insight to know how God sees us.  “Noah did according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.”

“LORD Jesus, because of Your righteousness, put my name in place of ‘Noah.’  Help me obey You.”

Pray Genesis 6:8-9 and 22 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“God, ________ and I want to find favor with You.

Make us like Noah:
righteous, blameless, walking with You.

May we do according to all that You command us.

 Because of Your name, Jesus~”
