Deuteronomy 6 - Praying God's Word

Please read Deuteronomy 6.

Meditate on this phrase from verse 12.

Watch yourself that you
do not forget the LORD.

Deuteronomy 6 tells you how not to forget God. You are to have His Words on your heart, and you are to teach them diligently to your children; when you are sitting down, when you are moving, when you are lying down, and when you are getting up (Deuteronomy 6:7-8). In other words, there is never a time when you should not be talking about things of the LORD. Wow! Can you imagine what your family would be like if you were living these verses? You may already be living the blessings that come from obeying God’s Word. I hope so!
Deuteronomy 6 is also one of those chapters filled with verses to pray over those for whom God has appointed you a prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7). Please reread Deuteronomy 6 praying it over those you love.
Pray Deuteronomy 6:12-14 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, please help ______ and me
to watch
 ourselves so we do not forget You.
We want to fear only You, worship only You,

and swear by Your name, God.

We will not follow other gods;

we will follow only You.

In Your name, Jesus~”
