Isaiah 42 - Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 42.

Meditate on verses 8-9.

I am the LORD; that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another;
nor My praise to graven images.
Behold, the former things have come to pass.
Now I declare new things;
Before they spring forth, I proclaim them to you.

This chapter begins with prophecies of the LORD’s servant coming and establishing justice on the earth. This servant would be a covenant to the people and a light to the nations. Jesus fulfilled these prophecies. In Him, everything you need is accomplished and provided.
The LORD addressed Israel and others who were spiritually blind and deaf. He was searching for people who would observe, hear, and heed His Words. Are you paying attention to God? Ask Him to give you ears to hear and eyes to see.
Pray Isaiah 42:16 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, lead blind _________ and me
by a way we do not know;
in paths we do not know, guide us.
Make darkness into light before us
and rugged places into plains.
Thank You that You do not leave us undone.
For the sake of Your glory and praise, Jesus~”
