Genesis 18 - Praying God's Word

Please read Genesis 18.

Meditate on verse 3.

My LORD, if now I have found favor in your sight,
please do not pass your servant by.

Genesis 18 begins with these words,
“Now the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre ... “

Here is another situation where God showed Himself to people. The LORD appeared; Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw three men (Genesis 18:1-2). As soon as Abraham saw them, he knew he did not want these gentlemen to leave him! These were special guests, and Abraham wanted to fellowship with them; he wanted them to stay at his house, eat a meal with him, and talk to him.
How do you respond when the LORD intersects your life? Do you recognize Him throughout the day? Do you invite Him to share your meals with you? Jesus Himself said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
It is incredible the Savior wants that kind of intimacy with you. Enjoy spending time with Him this Christmas.
Pray Genesis 18:3 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“My LORD, let _________ and me find favor in Your sight.
Please do not pass us by!

In Your name, Jesus~”
