Romans 13 - Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 13.
Meditate on verse 14.

But put on the LORD Jesus Christ,
and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

You probably spend at least a few moments each day deciding what to wear. Depending on the occasion, you may even spend hours deciding; shopping for just the right outfit, trying it on for the approval of others, adorning yourself for the perfect appearance.
How much time do you spend each day ensuring you have laid aside the deeds of darkness and have put on the LORD Jesus Christ? Who do people see when they look at you? What do they observe and hear? What does the LORD see and hear when only He is in the room with you?
Pray Romans 13:11-14 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman.
“LORD, it is time for ________ and me to wake up!
Salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.
The night is almost gone, and the day is near.
Therefore, let us lay aside the deeds of darkness,
and put on the armor of light.

Let us behave properly as in the day,

not in carousing and drunkenness,

not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality,

not in strife and jealousy.

Let us put on You, LORD Jesus Christ,

and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.
In Your name, Jesus~”
