Isaiah 51 - Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 51.
Meditate on verses 1 and 4.

Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness,
who seek the LORD;
Look to the rock from which you were hewn
and to the quarry from which you were dug.

Pay attention to Me, O My people,
 and give ear to Me, O My nation;
for a law will go forth from Me,
And I will set My justice for a light of the peoples.

The prophet Isaiah spoke in the first verse giving you Godly advice. God spoke in the fourth verse commanding you to pay attention to Him.
To whom do you pay attention? Where do you turn for advice? What is your first reaction to a troubling or a joyous situation? Do you thank the LORD and ask for His wisdom and help? Are your thoughts filled with the Word of God?
Pray Isaiah 51:7, 12-13, and 15-16 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, You are God our Maker.
The LORD of hosts is Your name.
You stretched out the heavens and laid the foundation of the earth.
You are the One who comforts ________ and me.
Do not let us be afraid of man who dies or of the fury of the oppressor.
Put Your Words in our mouth.
Cover us with the shadow of Your hand.
Make us know righteousness
and put Your Law in our heart.
In Your name, Jesus~”
