Please read Luke 18.
Meditate on verses 1 and 38.
Now He was telling them a parable
to show that at all times
they ought to pray and not to lose heart.
And he called out saying,
“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Do you ever
grow weary in prayer? Satan wants you to give up praying for people and
situations. God tells you to wear Him out with your petitions (Luke 18:5).
“Give the LORD no rest until He establishes ...” (Isaiah 62:7).
What is
weighing heavy on your heart today? God wants you to cry out to Him. The blind
man in Luke 18 kept crying out to Jesus to have mercy on him. Jesus responded
by asking the blind man what he wanted done for him. The man told Jesus his
need to see, and immediately Jesus caused him to regain his sight.
Amazing! It
is no coincidence chapter 18 ends with a real life example of someone praying
at all times and not losing heart.
Pray Luke
18:38-39 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful,
prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Jesus,
Son of David,
have mercy on __________ and me!
Son of
David,
have mercy on __________ and me!”
