Zechariah 10 - Praying God's Word

Please read Zechariah 10.

Meditate on verse 11a and 12.

“And they will pass through the sea of distress,
and I will strengthen them in the LORD,
and in His name they will walk,” declares the LORD.

Zechariah 10 is full of promises from the LORD for His flock, the house of Judah (vs. 5-8):
·      He will be with them.
·      He will strengthen them.
·      He will save them.
·      He will bring them back.
·      He has compassion on them.
·      They will be as though He had not rejected them.
·      He will answer them.
·      Their heart will rejoice in the LORD.
·      He will gather them, for He has redeemed them.

The LORD has not forgotten His flock of Israel, and if you are a follower of Christ, He has not forgotten you, either; for you are part of His flock.

I have other sheep, which are not of this fold;
 I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice;
and they will become one flock with one shepherd.
—John 10:16

Pray Zechariah 10:11a and 12 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, when _______ and I pass through the sea of distress, strengthen us.
Let us walk in Your name, LORD Jesus.”
