Isaiah 10 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 10.
Meditate on verse 12.

So it will be that when the LORD has completed
all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem,
He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart
of the king of Assyria and the pomp of his haughtiness.”

God used the Assyrians to punish Israel for being disobedient to Him. God then punished the Assyrians for being prideful about how God had used them. They took credit for the things God did through them. Reread Isaiah 10:13-14 and notice all the uses of “my” and “I.” “By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this” (Isaiah 10:13a).
God hates pride. Never forget when God is working through you, He is doing it for His purposes and His glory. Nothing good comes from yourself; the only good in you is Jesus. He alone is worthy of praise.
Pray Isaiah 10:12 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, You are the One doing and completing all Your work.
Let _______ and me produce fruit for Your Kingdom,
not fruit of an arrogant heart.
LORD, keep us from the pomp of haughtiness.
In Your name, Jesus~”
