Acts 9 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Acts 9.
Meditate on verse 6.

Get up and enter the city,
and it will be told you what you must do.

This verse is Jesus speaking to Saul, giving him his marching orders. Only a moment before, Saul thought he was in charge of his life and in charge of taking the lives of others. Suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him, and Saul quickly learned who was in charge— who was LORD of his life. Jesus is LORD!
In this same chapter, the LORD Jesus told Ananias to “get up and go” (Acts 9:11).
Jesus needed him to minister to Saul. Both Saul and Ananias obeyed because Jesus is LORD.
What about you? Do you call Jesus “LORD”? Do you obey Him when He commands you to “get up and go”? Or do you make up excuses and disobey Him?
Pray Acts 9:5, 6, 11, and 36 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Jesus, You are LORD.
Help ________ and me listen and obey
Your command to ‘get up and go.’
May we hear when we are told what we must do.
As we go, help us to be like Tabitha,
abounding with deeds of kindness and charity,
doing them continually.
In Your name, Jesus~”
