Isaiah 15 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 15.
Meditate on verse 5a.

My heart cries out for Moab.

Moab is present-day Jordan. Isaiah spoke about the burden (oracle) God had for the people of this country.
All of the inhabitants of Moab, even their armed men, wailed in distress over their ruin rather than mourning over their sin, which caused their ruin. Sadly, they went up to their idolatrous temples in their devastation and shame instead of turning to Almighty God. Amazingly, the heart of God cried out for these people who were so blinded by their sin.
Do you have the heart of the Father? What is your attitude toward others who are suffering the consequences of sin? Does your heart break for them?
Pray for God to show you the sin in your own life. After you confess and repent, ask God to give those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7) a heart to return to Him. Pray for them with the heart of God (Isaiah 15:5a).

“LORD, my heart cries out for _____________.
In Your Name, Jesus~”
