Acts 7 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Acts 7.
Meditate on verse 55.

But being full of the Holy Spirit,
he gazed intently into Heaven
and saw the glory of God and Jesus
standing at the right hand of God.

What a treasure God gave you through this meticulous physician named Luke! Inspired by the Holy Spirit, he wrote a consecutive account of the life of Christ (the book of Luke), a consecutive account of the birth of the church, and a consecutive history of Israel (the book of Acts). The Word of God is fascinating! And if you let it, it will cut you to the quick (Acts 7:54). Acts 7:51 is a convicting verse.
You men, who are stiff-necked
and uncircumcised in heart and ears,
are always resisting the Holy Spirit;
you are doing just as your fathers did.

Pray Acts 7:51 and 54-55 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, do not let ________ and me be
stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears.
Holy Spirit, do not let us resist You.
Let Your Word cut us to the quick.
May we be full of You, Holy Spirit.
Let us gaze intently at You, Jesus.
Show us Your glory, God!
In Your name, Jesus~”
