Revelation 12 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 12.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/12/1/s_1179001

Meditate on verse 10.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,

"Now the salvation, and the power, and the

kingdom of our God and the authority of His

Christ have come, for the accuser of our

brethren has been thrown down, he who

accuses them before our God day and night.”

Throughout the book of Revelation, Jesus is revealed as the One to receive all glory, honor, and praise because He has all authority and power (Revelation 4:8, 11; 5:12-14; 7:10-12; 11:15-17; 12:10).  Keep that fact in mind when you feel overwhelmed by Satan and the world.  The truth is “the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of God and the authority of Christ” came when Satan was kicked out of heaven (v. 10).  Do not be deceived by Satan’s accusations (v. 10).  If you are a Christian, you have already overcome because of the blood of the Lamb (v. 11).  Satan’s time is short (v. 12).  Press on in the strength of the LORD.

As a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7), praise the LORD with Revelation 12:10-11 and pray for others to overcome Satan with the blood of the Lamb.

“The salvation and the power and the

kingdom of our God and the authority

of His Christ have come, for the accuser

of our brethren has been thrown down.

Jesus, defend me when Satan accuses me before

God day and night. LORD, the only way to overcome

is by the blood of the Lamb.  Please

let ___________ overcome by Your blood.

Let the word of our testimony be that we did

not love our life even when faced with death.

Because of Your blood, Jesus~”

Revelation 11 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 11.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/11/1/s_1178001

Meditate on verses 3-4.

And I will grant authority to my two witnesses,

and they will prophesy for twelve

hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

These are the two olive trees

and the two lampstands that

stand before the LORD of the earth.

You may have learned the two witnesses in Revelation are perhaps Moses, Elijah, and/or Enoch.  Ponder for a moment the possibility of the two witnesses being the church.  Jesus said at the beginning of His revelation the lampstands are churches (Revelation 1:20).  And, the psalmist declared that he was like an olive tree in God’s house (Psalm 52:8).

Reread this chapter, picturing yourself as one of the witnesses because that is who Jesus declared you to be:

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has

come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses

both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,

and even to the remotest part of the earth.

—Acts 1:8

Ask the LORD to make you His bold witness and pray Revelation 11:15-18 as His faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, the kingdom of the world has become

Your Kingdom, the Kingdom of Christ, and

You will reign forever and ever.

I fall on my face and worship You!

I give You thanks, O LORD God, the Almighty, who

are and who were because You have taken Your

great power and have begun to reign.

LORD, the time is coming for the dead to be judged

and for Your bond-servants, the prophets and the saints

and those who fear Your name, the small

and the great, to be rewarded.

Please let _________ become your saint and bond-servant

before You destroy those who destroy the earth.

In Your name, Jesus~”

Revelation 10 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 10.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/10/1/s_1177001

Meditate on verses 10-11.

I took the little book out of the angel's hand and

 ate it, and in my mouth, it was sweet as honey;

and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

And they said to me, "You must prophesy again concerning

many peoples and nations and tongues and kings."

God’s Word is so powerful, and when you start to devour it, discovering its mysteries, it will be sweet to the taste.

How sweet are Your words to my taste!

Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

From Your precepts I get understanding;

therefore, I hate every false way.

Top of Form

Bottom of Form

—Psalm 119:103-104

The more you eat God’s Word, the more it also hits you in the gut that everything God says is the truth, and He is coming again to judge those who do not know Him as Savior and LORD; therefore, the time is now for revealing the mystery of Jesus to others (1 Timothy 3:16).

Pray to fearlessly proclaim the truth of Christ as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).  Start by declaring Revelation 10:6-7.

“LORD, You live forever and ever.  You created

heaven and the things in it, and the

earth and the things in it, and the sea and

the things in it.  I know You will not delay

much longer, and Your mystery, which You

preached to Your servants the prophets

will be finished.  Help me live to tell others

Your mystery before it is too late.

In Your name, Jesus~”

Revelation 9 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 9.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/9/1/s_1176001

Meditate on verses 13-15.

Then the sixth angel sounded, and I heard

a voice from the four horns of the

golden altar which is before God, one

saying to the sixth angel who had the

trumpet, "Release the four angels who are

bound at the great river Euphrates."

And the four angels, who had been

prepared for the hour and day and month

and year, were released, so that

they would kill a third of mankind.

Let there be no doubt in your mind Who is in charge of the events in Revelation.  The One Who sits on the throne has prepared four angels for a precise moment in time to kill a third of mankind who do not have His seal on their foreheads (v. 4).  As that truth soaks in, ask the LORD what exactly He has prepared for you today.  For whom does He want you to pray?  What does He want you to do?  Whom does He want you to tell about Him and His precise plan for their life?

Your life is very important to God.  Make every moment count as you walk and talk with Jesus, being all He has prepared you to be.

Use the words from Revelation 9:20-21 to pray for repentance in your life and the lives of those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, I repent of the of works of my hands

that are not Your works.  LORD, forgive me!

Please let ______________ repent of the works of

their hands, so they stop worshiping

demons and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone,

and wood, which can neither see, hear,

nor walk.  Let them repent of their murders,

 sorceries, immorality, and their thefts.

Before it is too late, Jesus~”

Revelation 8 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 8.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/8/1/s_1175001

Meditate on verses 3-4.

Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding

a golden censer; and much incense was given to him,

so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints

on the golden altar which was before the throne.

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the

saints, went up before God out of the angel's hand.

May my prayer be counted as incense before You;

the lifting up of my hands as the evening offering.

—Psalm 141:2

The Lamb has broken six seals; men slay each other; there are earthquakes, famine, and pestilence (Revelation 6).  The earth is a mess when the Lamb breaks the seventh seal, ushering in seven angels with seven trumpets (vs. 1-2).  These trumpets will be quickly blown, one after the other, and things will get much worse.  Before the trumpets are blown, an angel holding a container filled with incense comes to the throne of God and mixes the incense with the prayers of the Christians.  God breathes in these fragrant prayers.

Picture what is happening in this chapter.  The LORD is about to act in such a powerful way that the entire universe will be rocked.  But, before the first trumpet is blown, God pauses for 30 minutes to breathe in your prayers.  Amazing!

Keeping these truths in mind, pray for the Lamb to break seals on the hearts of those you love, using the words from Revelation 8:1, as their faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, please breathe in my prayers and break the

seal that is on the heart of _____________ before it is too late.

In Your name, Jesus the Lamb~”

Revelation 7 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 7.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/7/1/s_1174001

Meditate on verse 17a.

The Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd.

As you continue to move through Revelation, keep your eyes on the Lamb.  Notice He is in the center of the throne, and because of His blood, people are removed from the great tribulation (vs. 14, 17).  People, too numerous to count, from every nation, tribe, and tongue stand before the Lamb worshiping Him (vs. 9-10).  Will you and those you love be in that great multitude?

Pray Revelation 7:9-12 and 14-17 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“O Lamb of God, I want to be with that

great multitude from every nation, tribe,

people, and tongue, standing before the throne

and before You, clothed in a white

robe with palm branches in my hand.

LORD, let ___________ be there, too!  I fall on

my face and worship You, God, saying,

‘Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and

thanksgiving and honor and power and might

be to You my God forever and ever.  Amen.’

Lamb of God, take us out of the great tribulation

because we have washed our robes and made them

white in Your blood.  Because of You, we are

before Your throne, God, and we will serve You

day and night in Your temple.  LORD, You sit on the throne;

spread Your tabernacle over us.  Thank You that we

will no longer hunger nor thirst anymore, nor

will the sun beat down on us, nor any heat because

You are our Shepherd, Lamb of God, and You are

in the center of the throne.  Guide us to the springs of

the water of life and wipe every tear from our eyes.

For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”

Revelation 6 - Praying God's Word

Please read Revelation 6.

www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/rev/6/1/s_1173001

Notice the repeated phrase “when the Lamb broke….”

Meditate on verse 1a.

Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals…

Keep in mind that while Revelation gives us a glimpse into end time events, it dramatically reveals who Jesus is.  In this chapter, rather than focusing on the various colored horses focus on the One in charge of the horses.  By simply breaking a seal, the Lamb sets into motion events impacting the entire world.  Be amazed by Him and His power.

The last three verses of this chapter are tragic.  After the Lamb breaks six seals, notice how those left on the earth are cowering in caves, begging rocks to fall on them, so they do not have to face the Lamb.  Rather than run to “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29), they run from Him.  Do not let sin drive you to the pathetic place of running from God.  Run to Him before it is too late.

Pray for those, who need to be saved by the Lamb, not to be like those in Revelation 6:15-17 as their faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, please make ___________ stop hiding

in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

May they stop hiding from Your presence.

Lamb of God, let them fall before Your throne and

receive Your salvation, so they do not

experience Your wrath.  For the great day

of their wrath will come, and

they will not be able to stand without You.

For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
