Romans 8 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 8.
Meditate on verse 1.

Therefore there is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus.

If you are in a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ, say this aloud inserting your name in the blank. “There is now no condemnation for .”
That is the truth. God does not condemn you, and He tells you in Romans 8 how to stop the condemnation you heap on yourself. Set your mind on the things of the Holy Spirit.
Use the Bible to change your mindset. Every time your mind starts to wander to your past, say “there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus.” Say it hundreds of times until your mindset changes. God wants you to live in His life and peace.
Pray Romans 8:5-11 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, please help and me
no longer set our minds on the things of the flesh.

Let us set our minds on the things of the Spirit.

For the mind set on the flesh is death,
but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
Those who are in the flesh cannot please You, God.
LORD, let Your Spirit dwell in _________ and me.
We want to belong to You.
Make our spirits alive because of righteousness.
Spirit of God, You raised Jesus from the dead.
Dwell in us. Give life to our mortal bodies.
In Your name, Jesus~”

Romans 7 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 7.
Meditate on verses 24-25a

Wretched man that I am!
Who will set me free from the body of this death?
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!

In Romans 6, Paul commanded you to consider yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. He exhorted you not to let sin reign in your mortal body and not go on presenting the members of your body to sin but to present yourself as an instrument of righteousness to God. In chapter 7, Paul illustrated the only way you can keep those commands. Paul used the pronouns “I,” “me,” and “my” nearly 50 times in Romans 7. They are used in the context of frustration and apparent defeat in Paul’s battle with sin. “My flesh;” “I practice the very evil;” “sin dwells in me;” “wretched man that I am!”
If you are united with Christ, then “I,” “me,” and “my” should no longer be your focus. If you are the focus of your life, then Romans 7 probably describes you. Like Paul, you must come to the end of yourself and realize it is ALL about Jesus Christ your LORD. The struggle with sin is born out of selfishness. Paul realized he could not conquer sin in his life. Jesus Christ was the only one who ever conquered sin. Let Him conquer yours today.
Pray Romans 7:24-25 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, and I are wretched people apart from You.
Only You can set us free from this body of death.

Thank You, God, through Jesus Christ our LORD,

we can be free from sin!”

Romans 6 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 6.
Meditate on and memorize verse 11.

Consider yourselves to be dead to sin,
but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 6 is a freeing chapter.  If you are in Christ, this is the truth about you:

            *You have died to sin.
*You cannot still live in sin.
*You can walk in newness of life.
*Your old self was crucified with Christ.
*Your body of sin can be done away with.
*You are no longer a slave of sin.
            *You are freed from sin.
            *You live with Christ.
            *You live to God.
*Sin will not be master over you.
*You are a slave of righteousness.

Satan did not want you to know those facts about yourself, but now you do. Satan wants you to believe the lie that you will spend the rest of your time on earth struggling with your old nature instead of victoriously living your new identity in Christ to the glory of the Father. Now that you know the truth about yourself, you can obey the first exhortation in Romans: “Consider yourself to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11).
Pray Romans 6:12-13 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman.
“LORD, help  and me not let sin reign in our mortal body
so that we obey its lusts.

Do not let us go on presenting the members of our body

as instruments of unrighteousness,

but help us present ourselves to You, God,

as people alive from the dead,

and our members as instruments of righteousness to You.

In Your name, Jesus~”

Romans 5 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 5.
Meditate on verse 6.

For while we were still helpless,
at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.

Without Christ you are helplessly hopeless. At the right time, while you were still a sinner, Christ died for you so you could be saved from the wrath of God by the life of Christ. What an amazing gift He has given you! In Jesus Christ you receive the abundance of God’s grace, the gift of His righteousness, and the privilege of reigning in life through Him (Romans 5:17).
Pray for those in your life who have not yet received this gift from God.
Pray Romans 5:3-5 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, help and me to exult in our tribulations,
knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance.

Let perseverance prove our character.

May our proven character bring hope.

Hope does not disappoint

because Your love has been poured out
within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

In Your name, Jesus~”

Romans 4 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 4.
Meditate on verses 18 and 21.

In hope against hope he believed,

so that he might become a father of many nations
according to that which had been spoken,
“So shall your descendants be.”

And being fully assured that what God had promised,
He was able also to perform.

What do you believe God says? Are you waiting for something or someone God has promised? Your human reason for hoping is gone, yet you are hoping in faith.
Abraham did not waver in unbelief when it came to the promises of God. While he waited for God to fulfill His promises, Abraham grew stronger in faith. Abraham’s growth gave glory to God.
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Do not grow weary and lose heart (Hebrews 12:3). The LORD has called you to be a watchman for someone. There is at least one person in your life who appears hopeless. God calls you to grow strong in faith for them, to be fully assured that what God has promised He is able to perform. God calls you to pray without ceasing for Him to establish their hearts without blame in holiness (1 Thessalonians 3:13).
Pray Romans 4:17 over the person for whom God has called you to be a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, You give life to the dead
and call into being that which does not exist.
Please give spiritual life to ________ .
Let them exist and have their being in You.
In Your name, Jesus~”

Romans 3 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 3.
Meditate on verses 23-24.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace
through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
Try to wrap your mind around salvation. God’s Word says:
There is none righteous, not even one;
there is none who understands,
there is none who seeks for God.
All have turned aside, together they have become useless;
there is none who does good, there is not even one.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongues they keep deceiving.
The poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their paths,
and the path of peace they have not known.
There is no fear of God before their eyes.
 —Romans 3:10-18

That is the description of the people Jesus came to save. That is the description of you apart from Jesus. That is the description of every single life separate from the gift of God’s grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus. Amazing, absolutely amazing! If God Himself had not said it, it would be unbelievable. Why? Why would the God of the universe love you so much to offer you the gift of Himself? Why would any human refuse the gift of God’s grace, and why would anyone boast in themselves once they received it?
Pray Romans 3:24-26 over those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Christ Jesus, please let _________ be justified
 by accepting
the gift of Your grace through Your redemption.
Bring them to faith in You.

Demonstrate Your righteousness and forbearance

by passing over their previously committed sins.

In Your name, Jesus~”

Romans 2 ~ Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 2.
Meditate on verse 4.

Do you think lightly of the riches of His

kindness and tolerance and patience,

not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

Do you presume upon the LORD’s kindness, forbearance, and longsuffering patience? The LORD is kind to you because He wants you to repent of your stubborn selfishness.
Examine yourself in the light of Romans 2. Do you obey the truth or do you obey unrighteousness? Are you a hearer of the Word and not a doer of it? Are you a corrector of the foolish, yet you refuse to correct yourself? Do you take the LORD’s kindness and patience for granted?
The day of God’s wrath is coming for those with a stubborn and unrepentant heart.
Do not take His longsuffering over you lightly. The LORD’s patience will one day cease for those who refuse His glory, honor, immortality—His offer of eternal life.
Pray Romans 2:4-7 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, may  and I stop taking lightly
the riches of Your kindness, tolerance, and patience.
Please forgive our stubborn and unrepentant hearts.
We do not want to store up wrath for ourselves
in the day of Your wrath and revelation of
Your righteous judgment, God.

Help us to persevere in doing good.

May we seek Your glory, honor, and immortality, Your eternal life.
In Your name, Jesus~”
