Meditate on verse 29.
The secret things belong to the
LORD our God, but the things
revealed belong to us and to our sons
forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.
It is amazing the LORD our God chooses to reveal Himself to us. What a privilege to have His Words written to read, hear, ponder, memorize, and live! God does not take lightly those who hear His Word yet walk in the stubbornness of their heart (vs. 19-21).
As you continue to read the Bible, learn from the Old Testament who God is, noticing what makes Him happy and what makes Him angry. Desire to live pleasing to Him.
Pray Deuteronomy 29:2-4, 9-13, 25-26, and 29 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, please give ____________ and me
a heart to know, eyes to see,
and ears to hear all You have done
and are doing before our eyes,
the great trials and Your great signs and wonders.
Help us keep the words of Your
covenant to do them that
we may prosper in all we do.
Let us stand before You, today,
and enter into the covenant with
You and into Your oath that You
may establish us as Your people
that You will be our God.
Do not let us forsake Your covenant and serve and
worship other gods. The secret
things belong to You, LORD
our God, but the things revealed
belong to us and our sons
forever, that we may observe all Your Words.
For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
